The project submitted is the re-design of my client’s building in which his car collection is stored. The project addressed both exterior and interior spaces. The materials used for the exterior were Corten steel with custom bronze trims and concrete. As security was a key element, the windows were kept small. The glass is made up of layers: 3” of clear glass, 1” layer Crinkle glass, and 1” of Dichroic glass. The result of the layers causes the window to continue to change color with the natural light of day or as the viewer moves in relationship of the position of the glass. The sunlight also changes the colors of the interior spaces throughout the day.
